Review Guidelines

Reviews only mean something if they are real. These rules apply to everyone, and they are the same rules a business owner reports a review against — so both sides know where they stand.

Who can write a review

You need a verified LocalGURUJI account, and you can leave one review per business. Reviews are attributed to your account name — there is no anonymous reviewing here, and that is deliberate.

Write about your own experience

  • Describe what actually happened to you, first-hand and recently.
  • Be specific — what you bought, how it went, what others should know.
  • Criticism is welcome. Rudeness, slurs and threats are not.

What is not allowed

A business owner can report a review, and our moderators check it against exactly these categories:

  • Fake or spam
  • Abusive or offensive
  • Conflict of interest / competitor
  • Contains personal data
  • Irrelevant to this business

In plain terms: don't invent experiences you didn't have, don't post abuse, don't review your own business or a competitor's, don't publish anyone's personal details (phone numbers, addresses, order references), and keep it about this business.

Links and contact details

Reviews may not contain links or contact details. This keeps the platform free of spam and scams.

What happens when a review is reported

Reporting does not hide a review automatically. A human moderator reads it against these guidelines and either removes it or leaves it in place. Both the reviewer and the business owner are told the outcome. We do not remove a review simply because a business dislikes it.

Owner replies

Business owners can reply publicly once per review. Replies follow the same standards — no abuse, no personal data.
